JFR Highlights AAG London Conference; Three Executives Given Lifetime Achievement Awards October 1, 2009... The current issue of the Armbrust Jet Fuel Report features highlights from the AAG Group conference and banquet held in September in London. One highlight of the event was the Lifetime Achievement Awards given to Harold Ayers of Chevron Global Aviation, Helmut Fredrich of Lufthansa and Robert Sturtz of United Airlines. John Armbrust, publisher of JFR, said the three executives embody dedication to their industry. The event also congratulated winners of the JFR annual survey recognizing excellence in the industry. Air Total won the award for Best International Jet Fuel Marketer, while Lufthansa and ASIG won the award for top honors for the fourth consecutive year for Best Airline Fuel Department and Best airport Operator, respectively. For the first time since AAG surveyed the industry 13 years ago, another oil company besides Shell and BP has won the award for Best International Marketer. Shell Aviation, finished second and Chevron Global Aviation, taking third. Air Total was judged as being the most responsive supplier by a wide margin, having vastly better customer service, and a qualified staff.
