China Carriers to Request Return of Fuel Surcharges Chinese carriers Air China and China Eastern Airlines indicated they plan to file for the resumption of jet fuel surcharges following a decision early this week to boost the cost of petroleum distillates, including aviation fuel. China's National Development and Reform Commission said the boost will be about US$87.80 dollars per ton. An Air China official added that haven’t received an official price adjustment notice from the China National Aviation Fuel Holding, adding that the company will soon file for the resumption of jet fuel surcharges once it receives the notice. |
